As a PhD/Postdoctoral researcher, Davy worked on Rare Disease and Stem Cell Therapy. He joined the NHS in 2009 as a Research Governance Manager and held governance roles of increasing responsibility in major London hospitals, ultimately becoming Associate Director of Research at Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust.
During this time he developed a unique insight into hospital research infrastructure and built an extensive network of contacts with senior hospital managers and it was crystal clear to him that relationships between clinical trial sponsors (i.e.pharma/CROs) and hospital sites are often far from ideal.
With this in mind, Davy founded TCR-Solutions in 2015. With his unique understanding of hospital research management, his vision was to develop a CRO that acted as a true bridge between the sponsor and the hospital site. Our many satisfied clients will testify to the benefits of this approach – including optimised study start-up timelines, rapid and effective contract and budget negotiations with the sites, and dramatically improved patient recruitment.
Nowadays, Davy’s role is to provide managerial oversight of the day to day running of TCR-Solutions but, when necessary, he also rolls up his sleeves to ensure clinical trials are delivered to time and target.
